The Process

We draft apologies efficiently. Most are delivered within 48 hours. Complex situations may require additional review.

Intake

You describe the situation: what happened, who was involved, what the desired outcome is, and any constraints (legal, relational, professional). We do not require a complete account. We require enough to draft appropriately.

Drafting

Our drafters prepare the apology. Every sentence is reviewed to ensure it acknowledges without admitting, expresses regret without specifying cause, and commits to improvement without defining the improvement. This is more difficult than it sounds. We are good at it.

Review

You review the draft. You may request adjustments. We accommodate requests that tighten the apology; we push back on requests that introduce genuine admission of wrongdoing. In our experience, clients who request genuine admission usually don't actually want it once they see what it looks like.

Delivery

The apology is delivered in whatever format is appropriate: email, letter, press release, or direct communication. We can deliver on your behalf if you prefer not to be the one sending it. We have found that apologies delivered by a professional third party are received differently than apologies delivered personally. Not always better. Differently.
